Floyd A. Boyd Co. is a third generation
equipment dealer with five locations from Central Oregon to Northern
California. Our mission
statement is:

That is the golden rule in our organization and
we will work to ensure that the service you receive from our over 60
employees will keep you as a customer for life.
Our company had very humble beginnings as most
do and our story goes as such.
Floyd A. Boyd Co. has provided farm equipment to northern
California and Southern Oregon since 1940.
It began when Mr. Floyd A. Boyd moved to the Klamath Basin in
1933 and ran a general mercantile store.
The store also sold International Harvester equipment.
It began with three employees from a scale house in front of
a packing shed in Tulelake, CA.
In 1940, Mr. Boyd and two partners purchased the business and
changed the name to Floyd A. Boyd Co.
A second store was opened in Yreka, CA in 1944 and was
operated until Interstate 5 was built and a majority of the facility
was in the path of the project.
In 1958, the Boyd Family became the sole owners of Floyd A.
Boyd Co. The company
purchased the International Harvester franchise in Klamath Falls in
1965.
After careful consideration, it was decided
that one facility would be able to better serve the agricultural
customers in the Klamath Basin.
It was felt that Merrill Oregon was the center of the trade
area so land was purchased in 1972 north of Merrill.
A new building was constructed to consolidate the two
operations into one central facility.
Hesston Hay tools were added in 1979 as the shift from
row-crop production to hay and forage was gaining momentum.
The big change occurred in 1984, when the
International Harvester contract was dropped in lieu of the John
Deere brand. This was to
provide superior products to better meet the needs of the customers.
This was also the year the third generation Boyd officially
entered into the family business.
A second location was added in 2004 when the
dealership in Medford was purchased; that location relocated to
Central Point in 2005.
Two locations in Central Oregon were added in 2007 and operate in
Madras and Redmond. The
fifth location in Fall River Mills, CA was added in 2008.
